About me

I have been DMing TTRPGs since 2018, both online via VTT and in person around the table. I started as a Dungeon Master before I was ever a player, running my friends through the original D&D5e Lost Mine of Phandelver Starter's Guide. After that, I ran a few campaigns through D&D5e's Curse of Strahd and then began branching out into other TTRPGs. I absolutely love Forged in the Dark and One Shot RPG systems. I used to be a variety streamer on my own personal twitch channel, and have participated in many streamed Actual Plays both in front and behind the DM screen on various channels. In my free time, I create TTRPG maps and assets as part of The MAD Cartographer and The Planet Hoppers. You can find them both on Patreon. Other than all of that, I am an avid outdoorsperson and spend a lot of time hiking, swimming, kayaking, camping, etc. In a former life I was a graphic artist, an apprentice production artist, and then an IT Systems Administrator. My love language is tv show quotes and pop culture references, and slipping in innuendo when describing a room to my D&D Players. My most re-watched shows of all time include The Office, Buffy, and Star Trek TNG.

GM Style

To me, narrative will always come first. I usually have a heavy focus on roleplay, drama, and exploration, as minimal mechanics and combat as possible. I’m easy. I’m at the table to tell a story, not to memorize rules and roll a ton of dice. However, this does not mean I don’t recognize the importance of the rules and game mechanics. Mechanics use is based around conflict, and conflict is an integral part of a story.
