About me

I began playing D&D 3.5 Edition when I was SIX years old after my father introduced me and my siblings and ran a few games for us. Only a year later did I take up being the DM myself, which was certainly disastrous, but in fourteen years I have come a LONG way from those humble beginnings! Even as a child I leaned more towards the idea that the rules within the book are there to serve the narrative and the players, not the other way around. I am of the strong opinion that the best sessions are not the ones that follow most closely to whatever is written in the handbook, but instead the ones where everyone at the table had a great time crafting a narrative together with all the goofy and occasionally tearful moments that brings. While I have comfortability with D&D 5E, Shadowdark, in all of its perfect simplicity, is the system I have been gravitating towards recently and will be happy to give people quick lessons on the system or, after character creation, teaching folks as we play.

GM Style

My style is much more focused on impactful moments than hardline rules following. However, I will NEVER shirk a rule to push or railroad the party, rather I neglect rules most often when they get in the way of a very fun or awesome moment for my players. I do voices, makes noises, consult about character backstories (should you want that), and love having ambient tracks to increase the immersion for myself and those around me. Furthermore, I have created two separate play settings from scratch and even have crafted my own table-top game to go with them so expect strong world building and plenty of inspiration to help guide you to making your mark on these worlds of exploration and mystery. If you don't know the rules all too well (or don't worry about them) and prefer roleplaying and storytelling over mechanics and details, I am certainly YOUR type of Game Master!
