About me

Give it a try! See what the dice say. That is what most of my players will tell you I am known for saying. The other thing they would tell you is "Shut the door!" All my players are always amazed at how small details can end up later in the game, and how everything connects. So shut the door, a guard may be walking by. I am about three things: 1) Building an amazing story/character/Lore-driven game. 2) Letting players try new things and explore what they can and cannot do. 3) Allowing the actions of players to drive what happens. I started DMing once a month in 2008 when my friend needed help with ideas for his campaign. I have been hooked ever since and love being a DM! In 2011 I started DMing for two weekly groups on Sunday nights in the Lord of the Rings setting and since have led groups weekly in The One Ring, Adventures in Middle Earth, D&D 5e, 4e and Adventures in Middle Earth. At one point I was leading 4 groups in different campaigns simultaneously (it was a crazy thrill!). I also have a lot of experience helping new players learn the game, and love having them in my group. If you looking for a great story and a great time, where you can try new things, join one of my games. I have over 13 years of leading weekly games for several groups and would love to have you join!

Simply an amazing GM. Played together for three years and only stopped due to scheduling issues. Excels at storytelling, and can range from silly fun to very serious RP. He makes his combats matter as a part of the story, so rather than hack and slash you get meaningful combat encounters. For me, one of the most important things is a GM who wants you to interact with his NPCs through RP and his settings through lore and exploration. You can see how much fun he is having as a GM during RP. Play a game with him-you'll love it!

He is a great loremaster who sets up consistent games with engaging stories and memorable characters. He's puts a lot of effort into his preparation and games to allow players to make their own choices in the narrative world.

Dave was an excellent GM. He knew the rules well and, more importantly, used them to help create a story with the feeling of actually being in Middle-Earth. His descriptions were strong enough to create a sense of place without being overly long. He is especially good at creating a sense that your actions have repercussions. If you fail to act things will happen. Depending on what you do, there will be different consequences. Dave was remarkably patient with us. He also tried to shift the story in directions that interested the players. He also did a good job creating believable NPCs. If you like a game with a strong sense of story and character, Dave is a gem. Highly recommended.

Lizlegion is a fantastic GM! He tells amazing stories that your player will find easy to be immersed in. He loves to have fun, yet still provide a challenging journey for his players.

Lizlegion offers just the right blend of rules knowledge and immersion in storytelling. His Lord of the Rings knowledge is incredible and he tells stories from each age as a part of his world building. His standard D&D campaigns are always fun and he makes them come alive.

Very knowledgable and in depth with his games. I have always enjoyed the difficulty in his games and his ability to work around the players choices and still come out with a good campaign. He will put in the work/effort and put his players first.
