About Elizabeth
I am a compulsive storyteller, and adore telling stories with people. I love the mechanical bits and bobs of games, but my real passion is for the cooperative storytelling. It's the blend of thoughts and ideas all mixed together that makes roleplaying games a unique and treasured medium. I've been GMing for 16 years now, with experience in a wide rage of systems and settings, and always looking forward to expanding my horizons and experiences. Personal favorite games include Unknown Armies (2e), Dread, Swashbucklers of the Seven Skies, and Wild Talents. I can't wait to find out what stories we can tell together!

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
Unknown Armies 2e. John Tynes and Greg Stolze created a masterful system and setting that is incredibly fun to read as a book. Cortex Prime. Probably one of the most flexible systems to be stuck with long term, Cam Banks's baby is a joy to hack and mod. The Outfit. Maybe I could finish writing it.
How Elizabeth runs games
I like variety in what I do, so I'm always experimenting with new games and styles. My focus does tend to be on creating compelling stories for player characters, regardless of game or genre. I consider myself particularly skilled with fleshing out characters ad arcs, and at imaginative description. I like my action tense and dangerous rather than overly gamey, but recognize the strengths of different games and play to them. I don't run D&D the way I run Nobilis.

I deal with rules issues by...
Making a quick, clean decision, and consulting the rules after the session to double check if that was the right decision, and if it should hold going forwards. In more complex games I am less fluent in, I may consult the book at the table.
My games focus on...
Character stories and pushing them to make tough choices and change as people. I like intrigue and interpersonal drama more than combat or investigation, but I'm flexible on those points. What I can't do are games that are static, or worlds where the GMCs don't have their own opinions and dreams.
When it comes to voices
I am not a great voice actor. I often focus on diction and attitude in how characters think, with maybe a mild change to inflection to help distinguish. Accents come out for some characters, when it's appropriate. They're no doubt bad, but it's the best I can do to represent diversity of speech.
