About me

Hello! My name is David and I have been playing tabletop role-playing games for over 30 years. For the last 6 years, I have ran gaming at conventions in my area with the Rocky Mountain RPG Guild. I am a published author on the DMsGuild and DriveThruRPG where many of my products are top sellers. I love D&D, but I really like showing gamers other systems and settings. I like to work with players to have a shared play experience, one where we shape the world and narrative together.

GM Style

I enjoy many aspects of the game and react to players. Whether players look to fight, explore, or role-play, I look to offer more of those experiences. I like to integrate character backstories into the game and work with players to shape the narrative. I try to say "Yes", "Yes, and", and "Yes, but", however there are some places I don't go. In general I just don't do evil campaigns well and focus on heroic characters and stories. Game Mastery: I understand the basic rules of the games I run. I do not have every spell, feat, talent, etc. memorized. I expect a player to be familiar with their characters abilities or at least how to find that information. I don't spend a lot of time during game looking up a rule, I would rather adjudicate something in the moment and look it up later if needed.
