About Alex D.
Hi! I've been playing in and DM'ing various pre-written adventures and home brew campaigns for the past 5 years. I have experience with DND 5e, Call of Cthulu, Dark Heresy and Edge of the Empire. My focus however has been largely expansive home brew worlds, and DM'ing in 5e DND. I focus on creating branching story paths, allowing you to take the reins of whatever adventure you would most like to focus on, and then tying in character backstory and development into the narrative.

How Alex D. runs games
My two favourite pillars of DND are roleplay and combat (sorry puzzles). The first can be the most fun you can have in a TTRPG and the second can be the most rewarding and memorable. NPCs are an area that I've received the most compliments around, whether its due to their character, or the accent I have (tried) to give them. I also focus a great deal on tying in PC's backstories and personal goals and development into the narrative. I work with players to go over backstories and motivations, so that each players has moments of payoff which directly relate to the plot.
