About me

I started running Dungeons & Dragons with 3rd Edition, and have been running and playing D&D and other RPGs ever since. I’ve dipped my toes in just about every edition of the game, and I’m a big fan of pulling different ideas out of different systems to facilitate fun ideas during a session. I have a huge passion for RPGs and am always reading a new system/setting, whether it be Starfinder, Lamentations of the Flame Princess, or smaller projects like Necronautilus and Troika! I have a passion for old-school style dungeon delving, but I believe in the game master and the players treating the game world, and behaving within it, under the assumption that it is real, and should respond to actions and undertakings as a real world would. If you can imagine it, and it seems possible, you can always try! I love letting players and their characters engage meaningfully with NPCs and monsters and weaving fun encounters and stories out of the outcomes and consequences of their escapades.

GM style

I'm a big fan of immersive worlds which respond in convincing ways. I love player interaction, both between characters and with the people and environments of the world. I like a hearty blend of roleplay and tactical combat, as I personally see them as two sides of the same coin. Roleplaying a skilled adventurer involves roleplaying how that adventurer deals with threats! I'm at home in a classic gritty dungeon delve with danger around every corner, but I can't do without some open world, overland exploration either.
