About Jo Ní Rís

Hey all, I'm Jo. I've been GMing games for the last 6 years, playing for about 2 years. I've also streamed as a GM and player with Tales of Initiative on Twitch and Youtube. I love theatre of the mind, I was acting until I was 12, script writing and producing stage shows in my early 20's and now moving into voice acting, so it is always a goal of mine to make games as immersive as possible for players. I write the majority of my games as custom games using well known systems, or what players are comfortable with. There's so much more fun to be had in helping players get the most from the characters they want to play. So I make all my games unique to that group using pop culture themes, game or show references and even favourite fairy tales or myths to make it a memorable and personal experience for all. I have run games in high fantasy, Cyberpunk, Steampunk, Sci Fi, dark fantasy, dark acadamia fantasy and horror settings. Looking forward to playing with you!

How Jo Ní Rís runs games

Love roleplaying, really enjoy making character development key to the game. I do voice as many characters as possible, even pets or familiars. I often use themes involving dystopian settings, tactical combat, possibilities for alternatives to full combat. I enjoy using riddles and puzzles in my games to make it more interactive and immersive for players.
