How Game Master Viking runs games

I like roleplay. The more you put into it the more I'll put into it. Please know I only have a limited range of voices hahaha. I most the time will rely on Rule of cool vs RAW. And I'm out to tell a great story I hate killing characters unless it's beyond my control. If you are a heavy rules lawyer you may not enjoy playing with me.

I deal with rules issues by...

I tend to try and put them aside if I don't know them off hand to look into them during a break or after the session. But I'm also okay with someone in the group who may know that rule to explain it. Otherwise if it's quick I just look it up.

Rules are...

Typically RAW but I'm always up for some homebrew rules as long as it's understood I get to take advantage of them as well. And Rule of Cool I like it when the player is creative and we come up with ways to do cool things.

I really try to be a go with the flow sort of gm, I like it when the players are super invested in the characters and the story and not just there for the combat grind. If you are serious rules lawyer we probably won't get along to well I'm not stopping the game every time the rule doesn't go specifically as written. And really the group knowing I'm not going to be able to make everyone happy and just cause you had a DM/GM that did it one way doesn't mean I'm going to do the same.

I think min/maxing...

Bullshit. Plain and simple, your character should have some sort of flaw sure but to dump all stats so you can have this gross overpowered character by level one is ridiculous.

For your gross fetish kinks. Seriously I don't play that way. You try to make a situation dark just because "It's a fantasy game and it's not like it's the real world" or "It's what my character would do" Than you and I won't get along and your character belongs in prison or executed.
