Katie is also trained with Geek Therapeutics. She received her certificate as a Theraputic Game Master. She is mindful of what her players need to have a fun and safe experience. Katie is a proponent of creativity in all aspects of gameplay. She approaches her tables with a TV Writing Room mindset, encouraging her players to add their own characters and decisions to the story. Some of her preferred homebrew rules include "I know a guy," which allows characters to create NPCs to aid them and enhance the depth of the world. While Katie values and adheres to established rules, she also recognizes their flexibility in creating engaging gameplay. As such, she supports the interpretation of rules to fit the situation when necessary. Katie prioritizes the comfort and safety of all players at the table. She believes that triggering storylines are not essential to collaborative storytelling and advocates for the use of safety tools while maintaining open communication with her players. Any issues that arise are treated with respect, and Katie ensures that her players' concerns are heard.
