About me

Hi, I'm Beck! I'm a latina beginner GM who started out playing DnD 5e with a group of strangers now turned friends. My interest in DnD expanded to other TTRPG, particularly Monster of the Week because of my love of horror and character-driven narratives. My first game as a GM was MotW which I've running 8 months strong. I make the sandbox for you to play to your heart's content inside. I believe in inclusivity, respect, and enjoyment of all whether a GM or player. My goal is to make sure you're having a fun and memorable time. I look forward to seeing you in one of my games!

GM Style

First and foremost, I aim to make an inclusive, respectful, and safe space for my players. We'll always have a session 0 that includes Lines & Veils so as to avoid making GM or players uncomfortable. That said, I'm an avid fan of roleplay, welcoming it from players and bringing it to the table myself. I'm not great at voices, but I do add personality to my characters to help with immersion. Music is a key element in my games because I like to provide an extra layer to the atmosphere, and it's especially true with my horror games. While cameras are encouraged, you're more than welcome to use only a mic. I use Discord for voice/video and certain information for in/out-fo-game reference. Otherwise, everything else will usually be on one of the VTT. Rule of cool will always be a thing! My biggest focus, though, is making sure the world I give you to play in feels real and bigger than you and your characters. I believe in character-driven narratives and that your choices should matter. You and your characters will make decisions or stay in one place, but either way, the world will continue to turn and maybe, just maybe, you'll get to see how your decisions shaped it.
