About me

I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons 5e for the past eight years, with a lifelong history and interest in the fantasy genre. I began running D&D out of necessity, as no other players in my group wished to pick up the mantle. I found, however, that I much prefer running D&D to playing D&D, getting to help create stories and moments that the players can remember and cherish, and helping newer players grow to love the hobby as much as I do. My play style tends to lean towards whatever maximizes the fun and enjoyment of the players, rather than adhering strictly to the ruleset of D&D 5e. For example, in a game where no player is a healer, and a setting where healing potions are scarce, I would use some of the variant rules in the DMs Guide (such as the Healing Surge action) to hopefully allow the players to survive their encounters.

GM Style

Roleplay is one of my favorite aspects of Dungeons and Dragons, and I do love fun and exciting combat. I try my best to keep combat encounters feeling less like "I rolled on the encounter table, so now you're fighting twelve rats", and something that feels more natural for the storytelling. When you play in my campaign, I will be able to answer any and all of your questions and ensure that your characters will feel fleshed out and like a living, breathing, part of this world.
