Very immersive with storytelling and allows players to thrive and grow in aspects that they wish to improve on. Player creativity is encouraged and rewarded and I have been enjoying the creative aspects of his table.

Amazing First Session! Just had my first session, and it was fantastic! They made the game welcoming and exciting, with a great mix of story, action, and fun moments. It’s clear they put a lot of care into crafting the world and making sure everyone felt involved. Can’t wait for the next session!

I've had 2 previous games with Jo (outside of StartPlaying) and he's been such an awesome DM! He takes into account your character backstory and tries to integrate your story as much as possible into the games. I've tried out different classes with him and he's made it very easy to learn and is open to consultations! The best part is how immersive he makes the game: custom maps, art for characters, specialized voices, etc. There's a lot of roleplay in the games so you really get to explore your character!

Great voice work. Looking to make things fun for the players. Fair yet flexible. Watches the direction players want to go in and builds fun in those directions. Good range of NPC personalities. Confident without being overbearing. If you are a reasonable player you will probably have fun with Jo.

Jo was my first 5e game and he brought all of the content we could want, good narration and voices for NPCs, interesting and compelling stories, and patience as players learned the game.

Jo is an awesome DM, I had never played DnD 5e prior to joining a Lost Mines of Phandelver campaign they were running. Jo did a great job of teaching me the mechanics of 5e while also having a super fun time. They make their own game maps for Roll20, and have soundtracks prepared for each situation. I am currently playing in a Curse of Strahd campaign they are running and it continues to be an awesome experience. I look forward to our games each week.
