About Josh
Hello, I’m Josh. I’ve been playing tabletop role-playing games since high school, back in the halcyon days of the second edition. Like many of my peers, I enjoyed fantasy fiction about elves, dwarves, and knights, most notably the Dragonlance Chronicles by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. I enjoyed playing characters in these fantastic worlds as well as crafting tales within them. As a DM I like to run story-forward games, with interesting combat. I enjoy watching players and characters interact with the world and solve problems. I prefer rules-lite games i.e., Fate, Apocalypse World, and its derivatives. However, D7D and F20 games in general will always have a special place in my heart. I’m attracted to new systems like a moth to a flame. I encourage new players and like teaching them how to play. I look forward to gaming with you all.

How Josh runs games
I enjoy presenting challenges to my players and seeing the creative resolutions they come up with. I prefer rules-lite systems because they allow me to focus more on the world rather than getting bogged down by rules. Tactical combat is also something I appreciate, especially when it involves miniatures and battle maps. Overall, my adventures are centered around storytelling.
