Hello - my name is John and I have been running D&D games since 2012. I have a background in theater and improv and a passion for storytelling as a craft. I believe that characters (or in this case, player characters) are the center of any great story, and that belief drives my DM style. I am very much a "fun and story over rules" type of DM. I aim to provide ample opportunities for character development. I listen closely to try and understand the motivations of the player characters, as well as their connections to the world we are building together. In turn, I weave those motivations and connections into the stories at large to deliver the most possible catharsis for both player and character! I may be the right DM for you if you are looking for a game that: * Prioritizes fun and storytelling over rule accuracy * Grounds your characters directly into the world they are exploring * Provides a healthy mix of laughter and drama at the table * Provides an inclusive environment - everyone is welcome and respected at this table! I typically run D&D 5e games, but am happy to learn and run other systems, especially if rules material can be provided. Players of all skill level are welcome, whether you are a seasoned veteran or a first-timer, feel free to hop in!
