About me

I'm a lifelong D&D player who is completely obsessed with 5e. When I'm not playing or thinking about D&D, I work as an editor in the science fiction/fantasy field. In the last couple of years, I've also done some editing in TTRPGs for Monte Cook Games and Kobold Press, and contributed game design to Kobold's TOME OF HEROES.

GM style

Having worked as a fiction editor for 20+ years, I have a deep understanding of story and pacing, and so I bring that knowledge and experience to my GMing. I love the mechanics of D&D and always strive to make the most of them in furtherance of whatever story we're exploring... using them to enhance the story rather than dictate it. My combats tend to be challenging, and I try to make them as interesting and as unique as possible—and try to make the monsters act intelligently and to allow the environment each combat takes place in to be relevant to the encounter at hand.
