Hey there! I've been a long-time GM and occasional player for over 10 years, primarily focusing on 5E with experience in SW5E, Cyberpunk Red, Shadowrun, and more. My first ever experience was with 3.5E back in the mid 2010s, but have stuck with 5E as my main system for D&D due to the ease of access for new players and the far simpler mechanics (for those who know how crazy 3.5E was, you know). With the resurgence of D&D, I tailor my games to create immersive and unforgettable experiences for my players. I DM a mix of official modules that I build upon, short campaigns that have been modified to tell a condensed story, and, on rare occasions, fully homebrew settings that I put my heart into. Inclusivity and safety are paramount at my table. I have tailored safety rules and an open-door policy to ensure everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves and their characters. Communication is essential to me as a professional GM, and I believe it goes hand in hand with crafting a rich experience for all involved. My games are mostly roleplay-focused, providing emotional and engaging stories with an emphasis on collaborative storytelling. But I also enjoy challenging players both narratively and mechanically, striving to keep it fair and light with flexibility on rulings to focus on having fun overall! Outside of GMing, you can find me taking in any media that inspires my next games. I’m a lover of RPG games, but I also enjoy horror, roguelikes, simulators, strategy, and card games. My inspirations aren't limited to video games; I binge on movies, TV shows, anime, and books. I'd list exacts, but it honestly depends on what my hyper focus is at any given week. I’m also a folklore nerd and love pulling ideas from folktales and myths, while giving them a little twist. 🎭 Roleplay & Narrative Roleplaying is at the heart of my games. With a background in theater and a love for improv, I strive to bring the world to life through memorable NPCs and immersive social situations. I take my time to weave engaging stories, drawing from various inspirations while leaving enough open-ended elements for players to shape the story we will play in. I'll work with you personally to develop your character's backstory, turning the process into a big collaborative brainstorming session to discover who your character is. Additionally, I tailor my games with a blend of expanded modules and homebrew content, ensuring a fresh experience each session. Expect narratives with a deep emotional core, emphasizing a variety of different themes and tones. Ultimately, everything I do is in dedication to delivering a fun, narrative-rich experience for everyone involved. 🏳️‍🌈 Inclusive & Safe Environment Everyone has a voice, and I work to make sure that all voices are equally heard and respected at my table. I always work to make my table a welcoming and safe space for everyone, including LGBTQ+ members, people of color, and those with disabilities. Open communication is key, and I always check in to ensure everyone feels comfortable. To maintain safety, I use customized Safety Sheets adapted from the RPG Consent Checklist, which we review during our Session 0. I also implement a variation of X Cards for situations that arise during play and gather feedback through Stars and Wishes, either openly at the end of the session or privately afterward. I am always open to adapting my style to suit your preferences and needs. 🎵 Visuals & Music Immersion is a cornerstone of my games I never overlook. Through visual aids, custom NPC art, detailed battle maps, campaign curated playlists, and an array of soundscapes, I tailor my games to be unique each and every time. I've had over a decade of experience now using Roll20 and I utilize its capabilities to enrich the game for both the eyes and the ears. With my experience, I use this site to create atmospheric effects like slowly rolling fog and ambient chimes that enhance storytelling in ways impossible in traditional settings. I also do NPC art on occasions and use my experience in graphic design to create further visuals. 🎲 Balanced & Challenging Whether you're new to the game or a seasoned veteran, I aim to strike a balance that is both fun, unique, and challenging. I incorporate a variety of homebrew monsters to keep things fresh, along with custom items, character features, and other goodies—all tailored for each game. 3rd-Party material is allowed on an approval basis, but I'm pretty lenient on it for the most part. Variant rules are also in place to enhance enjoyment—I know the rules well but prefer a lighter approach at times. If ruling issues arise, I am more than happy to discuss them before or after the game, adjusting as necessary while keeping things fair. I also actively encourage players to think creatively and embrace fun solutions during combat, skill challenges, and other scenarios, so feel free to experiment.
