About Jammer
I've been playing and GMing roleplaying games since I was in elementary school. I started with the D&D red-box Basic Set, and have diversified through a wide range of systems ever since. I enjoy narrativist story games but can also dive into mechanical crunch -- everything from Amber Diceless to Rolemaster. I've run numerous convention one-shots, and enjoy that kind of pick-up play with people I haven't met previously. I've also played and run text-based roleplaying games since the early days of the Internet. I'm new to the Startplaying.Games platform, though. I'll be running a mix of different types of play-by-post games. Please feel free to message me if you've got a request!

How Jammer runs games
I enjoy worldbuilding, extensive character interaction, creating memorable NPCs, interesting tactical combat situations, and complex in-character dilemmas. I love it when players come up with creative and unexpected plans, and use the Rule of Cool. In play-by-post games, I focus on the craft of great writing, and I appreciate PbP players who can write well. I'm extremely actively as a GM, with quick responses throughout the day and evening (across the continental US time zones). I pay close attention to game pacing, which is crucial to maintaining momentum and engagement. I am a very structured GM, with neatly-organized background material, house rules, command cheat sheets and other "how to" material. However, I have tons of experience in improvising on-the-fly, thanks to years of handling players with off-the-wall ideas and a tendency to wander totally out of my carefully-planned adventure.
