About me
Hi, I'm Ilinx! The simplest way to describe me is as a storyteller: I write, I draw, I code, and of course I run RPGs. My goal is to help others tell their stories, which is why game mastering is the perfect fit for me. I love big swings and creative solutions, but also have plenty of experience encouraging shyer players. I have been playing D&D 5e since 2018, and have consistently run three weekly campaigns (and many one-shots) with the same group for 5 years and counting! Having just graduated in game development and creative writing, I want to put my skills to use and play more games with more people. D&D will always be my comfort zone, but currently I am in a space of exploration. I am experimenting with many systems, both well-known and indie, as well as writing my own.
GM Style
I like to get experimental, tweaking rules and making homebrew to make the game conform to the preferences of the table. This extends to worldbuilding as well; I try to move away from the generic Tolkien-esque style and take inspirations from around the world. In combat, I like complex and simple setups. Whatever gives room for character moments and dynamic shifts. Genre-wise, I tend towards drama over comedy (but let's be real, they come hand-in-hand). My games will always be intended for a mature audience unless specified otherwise.

I have the pleasure of playing Dungeons and Dragons campaigns and different one shots with Ilinx as Dungeon Master, and I have to say, I am constantly blown away by their creativity, intelligence, and sense of humor. Ilinx brings their worlds to life with vivid descriptions and imaginative storytelling, making every encounter feel exciting and unique. They have a knack for thinking on their feet and adapting to the unpredictable choices of the players, keeping the game dynamic and engaging throughout. Overall, Ilinx is an exceptional Dungeon Master who I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly immersive and entertaining gaming experience.

ilinx is super helpful with answering questions and directing inexperienced groups/players on how to play and suggesting options for what actions to take whilst encouraging players to be creative and come up with their own ideas. they take players triggers and everything into consideration. their games have really cool and well elaborated stories and world building, they're good at helping new players, and overall a good GM who runs fun games!

Ilinx have been dming me for most of 5 years now (going on 6 soon), and their way of storytelling and world building are amazing. They have put so many hours in creating, developing and engaging the fun in each session. Even sometimes leaving us on the edge of our seats with a cliffhanger! Overall, having an amazing time in our current campaign and hope for the same in future campaigns. Love youuuuuuuu..!

I have been playing DnD and various TTRPGs with Ilinx for years now- and they are just a fantastic GM. I was a beginner to DnD when we first started playing together, but they helped me understand the rules, and encouraged me to speak up and have fun. I never would have gotten the hang of the game without their help and encouragement. Ilinx had hosted a couple different genres for us (inc. sci-fi, fantasy, horror) but they have a particular talent for telling big, cosmic stories, and they love a good tragedy. They integrate our character backstories into the narrative wherever they can, which has lead to GREAT character arc payoff, and some emotional moments. Also, their NPC game goes hard. Every single NPC they introduce has been incredibly memorable and lovable. Best of all, Ilinx is always open to feedback. They always ask at the end of sessions what's working, what isn't, and ways to tweak the game so that it aligns with everyone's play-style. If any of this sounds exciting to you or your party, Ilinx might be a good choice for you.
