About me
Hi! First thanks for taking the time to read my bio. I started playing D&D 3.5 at 24 and have been playing since then. I love the Forgotten Realms and like using interesting obscure lore to help players have unique characters tied to the world. I enjoy storytelling for players and am always interested in providing fun opportunities for my players to be the heroes they want to be. I draw experience from a diverse background including freelance authoring short fiction stories and anthropologies, cage fighting (for combat scenes it's fun believe me), and also have read some of the cornerstone fantasy series including Wheel of Time, Lord of the Rings, The Stormlight Archives, and other series--some of which I'm still reading.
GM Style
Immersion is the most important thing to have in my games so I will voice act unique NPC's and give players visual stimuli to sink their teeth into. Ambiance is important to me so I always have a soundtrack for environments, important character meetings, etc. I tend to favor combat that gives players actual tension for their characters safety. This is mainly to encourage team work (generally speaking I emphasize the importance of roleplaying character aspects prior to any combat) and a level of stakes in the game; I've seen that it heightens the TtRPG experience for everyone around. While fun is important to be I always run my games with the principles of respect and equality in mind at all times. Everyone is expected to have their moment in the spotlight and everyone's point of view/character actions warrant being heard/considered. I never allow sexual abuse of any kind and generally will check in with my players to ensure triggering subjects are discussed well beforehand. Ultimately, I am firm in protecting the group's ability to enjoy the game. This also means I am dedicated and open-minded to getting your suggestions/visions of what you would like for your character to be in the story. I love providing character hooks that I hadn't planned for and am very vocal in applauding/rewarding awesome character building by players. In all, my philosophy is the story is written for and by you, the players. Hope to see you at my table soon~

Sean is one of the most fun GMs that I have played with. I have been able to enjoy both his one-shots as well as a long term campaign. He knows how to balance combats and vary the difficulties so you don't get complacent. He caters to a large variety of play styles between different puzzles, RP from stressful situations to trying to see if one can get a warforged drunk, and combats that play out on a knifes edge. He makes a concerted effort to make certain all his players get to do what they want to do, especially when there is a "main character." All in all great GM and I'm always looking forward to another session with him.
What an intense game! This campaign that we are on is an absolute masterpiece. I don't know if this came from a book, or if Sean wrote it but the sense of immersion I get while playing is exactly what I expect from a great DND session. This DM makes everything about the game fun, from nail biting combat scenes to role playing moments that bring tears to your eye. I was taught that a true story teller doesn't just keep your attention, but makes you experience the feelings of the characters in the story, and that is what we get everytime we play with Sean. In the beginning of the campaign none of us knew each other, and it showed in our RP and communication but Sean studied our characters and our personalities as players and made great attempts to facilitate team growth both in and out of character. Now, we are a force to be reckoned with!! I look forward to the continuation of this story, and the beginning of many more. After playing DND with this group, I feel inspired not only to keep playing, but to start DMing and getting others as excited about playing as I am everytime I sit down to a game with this absolute Gem of a DM!
