About me
Hello my friends. I have 7 years of DM experience with over a decade of TTRPG experience. My games are unique and tailored to my players. RP and character work are things that I truly enjoy collaborating with and feature heavily in my games. I am very well versed in D&D 5th Edition and will continue to expand my knowledge of other systems as my time on this platform goes. Weaving character backstory into my world and having it come to life for my players is the ultimate goal. Serious talk, D&D is my passion. I love this game and the stories we get to tell with our friends. These memories are saved in our minds not as digital maps and discord channels, but as sword and spell, as flesh and blood memories of victory. That is why I play D&D. That is why I DM. Now, roll initiative.
GM Style
I am a homebrew DM at heart and would love to work on something special for you and a group of friends. I also am able to work with just about whatever module you would be interested in. My games generally run RAW but I have been known to often lean toward the “Rule of Cool”. But do not be fooled my friends, I enjoy challenging and balanced combat just as much as roleplay. Also feel free to talk about whatever homebrew madness you wanna bring to the table. Let’s have fun with it. Break stuff.

I have been playing under Helix for a better part of 2+ years and have played other small campaigns with him along side it. My first real campaign was with Helix, he was/is very helpful and understanding when I was learning. Helix is an incredible DM. He is very descriptive and has just the right amount of passion with his storytelling. He always feels like one of the crew, he is very approachable and easy to talk to, whether it is about your crazy character ideas and story lines, gameplay questions, homebrew concepts, if you aren’t sure, simply ask. He works with the rule of cool but is very knowledgeable of the rules and upholds the balance of the game very well. An all around amazing guy and DM. If you are debating on jumping into one of Helix’s campaigns I encourage you to do so. :)

I've been playing for 4 years and I've had some great dms, some pretty bad dms and everywhere in between. Helix is definitely in the great category. He had a beautiful balance of rules as written while still allowing a buffer for player creativity and rule of cool. He was exceptional at jiving with the chaoticness of the party's tomfoolery and still being able to get them back on track. Really interesting RP and some solid fun combat. Absolutely high recommend.
