About Ellis
I'm a nonbinary demisexual Game Master who's interested in running games for queer players looking for a safe table. I've been playing and running tabletop RPGs for roughly five years now and am familiar with several different systems, including Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, Cypher System Ruleset, Fantasy Flight's Star Wars RPGs, Blades in the Dark, MASKS: A New Generation, and more. Currently, I'm running games of The Dragon of Icespire Peak, an introductory sandbox adventure for D&D 5E set in the Forgotten Realms, over Roll 20 and Discord.

How Ellis runs games
I enjoy running a collaborative table with plenty of player input. We'll run a preliminary session to get everyone's character sheets sorted, collaborate on some worldbuilding, establish any house rules, and go over safety tools such as lines and veils. As a GM, I like to act as a guide for my players and consider it my responsibility to emphasize fun and to root for the heroes. I try to strike an even balance between the rule of cool (if it's an awesome idea, let's give it a shot!) and keeping the world grounded in a bit of familiarity (there are limits to what a single critical hit can accomplish).
