Long time player and occasional DM that has played in a bunch of systems since I was young. I played a lot of Advanced D&D (2 & 2.5) but skipped 3 and 4 entirely. I played and GM'd a lot of Rifts, TMNT, Palladium based games as well. More recently, I built a gaming table with a Streaming TV in the middle and been running mostly D&D 5e for my players. I have played a bunch of different systems but have never run a campaign in the following worlds: White Wolf (Vampire the Masquerade, Werewolf, Wraith...ect), Cyberpunk, Call of Cthulhu, and Traveler. That is not to say I wouldn't be interested in running some beginner campaigns here.

GM Style

I like the rules. Sometimes I bend the rules. Sometimes I break the rules. BUT keeping it fun for everyone is paramount to the experience. I make heartfelt, inconsistent, attempts at voices but don't participate in cosplay. However, I love anyone that has that desire, talent, and wants to bring it to the game. I am firmly in the camp that so called "evil" races are apart of game play and normal denizens of any setting. So seeing the likes of kobolds, goblins, and orcs in taverns or towns is pretty normalized in my games. We can role play prejudices but I usually do require that those prejudices are justified in character development and recognized as prejudices. I am not overly fond of super high fantasy; so getting rare or legendary magic items typically does not occur at low level play. Potions, scrolls, and common items notwithstanding; I base most games in some realm of physics and balanced expectation. Reserved but fun I like to say! I like tactical combat and will grant advantage and disadvantage as well as cover. Can do theatre of the mind; having spent most of my youth playing this way. Modern advances have allowed us to provide maps for battle and exploration. I like both forms and typically employ both in my games. Not overly fond of enforcing encumbrance or exhaustion but will do so it serves game play. I like both methods of awarding experience points as well as level-up based play. I usually leave that decision up to the players at the start of play. Likewise, I will also often ask players for RAW ( rules as written) vs RAI (rules as intended) rulings when they arise and play accordingly from that time forward. I am a fair but harsh mistress. Mostly, I just want to play great games, meet good people, and have some fun.
