About me

I became interested in RPGs at an early age with Choose Your Own Adventures and Fighting Fantasy books, eventually starting my destiny to be a GM by running regular Fighting Fantasy books as adventures for friends and even kitbashing a copy of an AD&D adventure a friend found at the library into FF rules so we could play it since none of us could afford the AD&D books yet. Throughout high school I ran multiple campaigns of AD&D 2E and every flavour of World of Darkness you could imagine as well as playing in a friends long-running Cyberpunk 2020 game and sampling numerous other titles. As a GM I believe that every game has a different style and flavour and the GM should make sure to keep that in mind and remain flexible with different systems. Trying to run every game like D&D is just asking for trouble. Currently I have been running games of Blades in the Dark which lets me do my favourite activity as a GM: improvise on the fly! That's what keeps games fresh for me, I am not a huge fan of a long predestined plotline. I have done playtesting and small amounts of monster design work for Eden Studios in the past and currently have been creating supplements and adventure modules for Torg Eternity both officially for Ulisses-Spiele directly and on their community content store The Infiniverse Exchange: https://bit.ly/3tz4LDs

GM style

I prefer to play each game to its strengths and try to keep things open so even I can be surprised by things during the course of a campaign. I am as comfortable in heavy crunch games where players are squeezing out every last +1 they can find as I am in narrative games where we may not even roll a die all night. While I don't run my games as super serious drama and try to keep things light I do take this somewhat seriously and ask that players respect the settings and systems to keep the immersion up.
