Hello! My name is Granville (he/him), and I'm thrilled to take you on an unforgettable journey through the realms of imagination. With a passion for creating immersive and enjoyable experiences, I've been running Dungeons & Dragons games for a majority of my life and am delighted to still be doing so today. Whether you're a new explorer stepping into your first campaign or a seasoned adventurer with a lifetime of quests under your belt, I have experience working with players of all levels. I pride myself on providing a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone's unique play styles and backgrounds are respected and celebrated. I like to think my theater and musical background adds an extra layer of storytelling and dramatic flair to our sessions. GM Style
My Dungeon Master style is all about creating immersive experiences that transport you to another world. With a focus on sound, I utilize atmospheric effects and carefully crafted narrative descriptions to bring the game to life. When it comes to combat, I believe in keeping things fast-paced and exciting. Engaging encounters that keep you on your toes, with tactical decisions and thrilling moments. I've been known for making combat encounters incredibly challenging, but meaningful. I'm also versed in Roll20 mechanics and customize character tokens with specialized macros and API coding for ease of use and efficiency. Expect adrenaline-pumping battles that will test your skills and teamwork -without- taking forever to resolve. Role-playing is an integral part of my games, and I encourage emotional investment in your characters. Whether it's heartfelt conversations, intense conflicts, or dramatic decisions, I strive to create opportunities for deep and meaningful role-play. While I am knowledgeable about the mechanics of the game and strive to maintain a well-balanced and challenging experience, I also embrace creativity and thinking outside of the box. The 'rule of cool' is often used, allowing for epic and memorable moments. So don't be afraid to unleash your imagination and surprise me with inventive solutions.

I’ve had this guy as my GM a few times and he has always made it a great time! He allows the players a good amount of creativity when using skills while keeping everything balanced. He also does a great job of voicing the NPC’s while telling the game’s story.

My favorite table to sit at is Granville's. Games are fun, interesting, flexible, immersive, and full of witty banter. Encounters are challenging enough to make you feel you earned it, and casual enough to have a really good time. The most impressive part for me, is the willingness for discussion. Asking questions, looking up rules, collaborating. It makes me feel like I'm helping build the story rather than just listening to it. His mind is caring and creative. I hope his legacy is as big as his personality. Thank you for bringing me back to D&D, Granville, you'll have a forever player, should you want one.

As a beginner who had a less-than-ideal first experience with D&D, I was hesitant to try again. However, this Game Master completely changed my perspective. From the very start, they provided a safe and inclusive environment that made me feel welcomed and valued. Their creativity and attention to detail are remarkable. They use soundscapes, music, light effects, worldbuilders, decorted room, and even 3D printed miniatures to create an immersive experience that brings the game to life. Their storytelling skills are top-notch, keeping everyone engaged with a variety of compelling characters, unique voices, intriguing quests, and side quests. What stands out the most is their dedication to inclusivity and safety. They ensure that everyone feels comfortable and involved, and their group management through Discord makes scheduling and communication effortless. I genuinely look forward to every D&D night with them and my group!
