About Tom
I began playing Dungeons and Dragons in the early 80's with the basic red book and now reside in Dungeons and Dragons 5e (2014 or 2024 are both fine). I have played and GMed in numerous other systems over the years (and still frequently do). For a period of 2 years I was first a GM and then head GM on a Westmarches server with typically 50 or more active players and I had quite a bit of fun doing so. At this point in my GMing experience I have the most fun tailoring the story to what my PCs want to do. Whether that is a low level survival grind, or a high fantasy level 20+ with flying cities where they are battling the god's themselves we will make it all fun together.

How Tom runs games
I enjoy switching styles of play to match what my players are looking for. That can range anywhere from the high-stakes tactical combat, to heavy RP, and back. I enjoy running just about anything my players are going to enjoy. Do you want to build a castle and defend it? Lets do that! Want to play in a high fantasy, or grimdark, survival, low magic, or political intrigue setting or any combination? Lets do any of those. I'll try to hang in there with you if you're heavily into doing a voice, but I also won't pretend I've ever been particularly good at that. Probably the only real restrictions I have are around adult themes of a sexual nature, and especially sexual violence. If a player wants to have a romance with an NPC or another consenting PC that is fine but we will probably _fade to black_ if things get near explicit. I guess I also sort of draw the line at PVP situations except in a very few instances where everyone is onboard and ok with it (this would be a very rare occurrence I would think).

My games focus on...
my players. The more collaberative the sessions/stories are the more enjoyable they are to me.
Tom 's ideal table
My table will be respectful. Everyone needs to come to the table with the understanding that we are all people and each and every one of us has immeasurable value. I will not, nor do I expect anyone at the table, to tolerate real-world nastiness at the table. We are getting together to play characters in a fictional world of our making. We will leave all that other stuff outside the group.

I love it when a player
tells me what they want from the session.
