About Jacob Berg
I'm a 37 year old man with about 25 years of experience with playing and running TTRPGs. Through the years I've mostly played D&D, but have branched out into WoD as well as some niche swedish games. I'm a calm and friendly person with a great deal of patience and a love of teaching. As an RPG player I enjoy in-character interaction more than anything and enjoy character growth as they learn to know and rely on each other.

I got started GMing...
At age 10 or 11. I played AD&D with my classmates and neighbors.
When I'm not running games I'm...
A warehouse worker with a law degree, as well as a union representative.
How Jacob Berg runs games
I enjoy character interaction, both between PCs and NPCs as well as between PCs. I also like to keep games moving at a decent pace and not get too bogged down into details that mainly pertain to single character. The games I run involve an amount of combat (as most fantasy RPGs do). These combats should in my opinion be run in a way that is fast rather than accurate, especially from the monster's side. If I miss a +1 somewhere or forget to take a reaction, that matters less than the time saved by moving quickly. More time for the players to shine! I also have keen sense for dividing spotlight time. If a PC has an important role and takes up a lot of time in one session, they should expect to be taking a back seat at some other time. All players do not crave the same amount of spotlight, however, so if someone is just along for the ride, you have to respect that.
