About me

Professional Game Master from Malaysia wanting to earn himself a name and coin. Quit my call center job, thought I do the Paid DM gig for a bit. Turned into 4 4-Hour D&D Sessions per Week thing and trying to grow my player base. Also, I head the local Malaysian Adventurers League group. Organized a small online Epic during COVID-19 Epidemic. I run my campaigns quite casually and as newbie-friendly as possible. I believe that we're all playing D&D to have fun and have a challenging adventure. I am not one of those tyrannical, psychopathic DMs who want to kill their players (I blame the jokes and memes for this stereotype). Though I do want to follow the D&D rules to the letter, I would bend it and the adventure so that the session runs smoothly and is fun. However, I am digressing; I am here to provide you an fun and challenging and also interesting adventure. Again, if you are newbie, I'm always up for discussion and teaching new players on how to play D&D. Of course, we will take a crash course approach when teaching. It is the best way to learn. I also do try to run my campaigns more on the roleplaying side (i.e. not combat) and do allow opportunities to resolve combat encounters with non-combat solutions. Of course, sometimes combat does happen whether it is forced by the narrative or you failed a skill check to avoid the combat encounter. I also do NPC Voices and RP Death Description to the best of my abilities to, again, enhance the RPG immersion. If you are paying for my services, I would allow access to amenities such as Access to D&D Sourcebooks on D&D Beyond (for Active Players) thus allowing for wider options for character creation as well as the options available as a Plus Subscriber on Roll20 (I forgot what are the actual perks for my players lol) and I do have a map making software so at least for combat encounters and dungeon exploration, you get to see something thus more immersion!

GM style

Casual and for Fun though I do want to try my best but I don't get so much into the game until I study "meta" and do math to find the most efficient build. I like both Combat and Roleplaying in equal measure. I like to "paragon-persuade" my way through the RPG but I won't hesitate to smash my way if persuasion didn't work. Stealth is okay too but most of my characters are tanks. I'm more towards serious roleplaying but serious as in everyone stay in character with setting/theme-appropriate humor. I don't like "lol random" or just trying to be silly just for the sake of it. If I want to play a "silly" RPG, the theme and setting should be built for it.
