About me

Hello! I'm Ryan and I've been playing and running D&D games for 8 years! As I've grown-up it's become harder and harder to consistently run and play in games. I want to solve this by bringing my skillset as a veteran DM to other groups of players. I have worked in multiple editions of D&D mainly Advanced Dungeons and Dragons and 5th Edition. I bring a sense of old-school style to my games, this can mean a grittier experience or games can feel less homogeneous. I enjoy all styles of game, but my strong suit and unique factor is my sense of the old-school.

GM style

Character driven games are the pinnacle of D&D in my mind. The GM is there to facilitate the players fantasies for their characters. The game should be driven by the player-characters goals and aspirations. The GM's job is to know the system and run the game consistently. Whatever it takes to bring the players dreams to reality is the way the game should be run. This can mean a roleplay focused campaign or a combat focused campaign, even something in between. What is important is that the players have agency and impact on the world around them and the tasks they undertake.
