About me

I have over 5 years of experience running Dungeons & Dragons 5e, and I have been playing for about as long. I have been in good campaigns, and terrible campaigns, and I have learned what sort of tone and system works for me. My approach to Dungeons & Dragons is a careful, serious narrative one. Tabletop RPGs are the perfect tools for immersing yourself into a narrative and becoming locked into a consistently engaging story. No character will ever be as interesting as the one that you inhabit, and I seek to bring the same carefully curated storytelling to the characters in my campaigns. I specialize in grim tones, and turning minor creatures into serious threats for even higher level parties using strong in-world strategy. I put a heavy focus on the early game (Tiers 1 and 2), but also know how to make the best fun out of the end game (Tiers 3 and 4).

GM style

As a Dungeon Master I consider myself more of a, "Consequence Engine". I present you with the world, and you pull on the intangible threads around you... What comes is the inevitable consequences of the world crumbling in on you. Adventuring is bloody, brutish, and nasty. Tactical combat comes about when you wish, as I do my best to provide you with many solutions to any one problem. I grant the best sandbox I can to invested players.
