About Gedwyn
I have been a G.m. for over 20 years and have spent most of my life studying storytelling in one form or another. Most of that study is in the form of film or scriptwriting which has translated well to both one-shots and long series arcs. I have a love for voice acting and above all entertaining people is my favorite thing on this earth to do. I have experience with a variety of group sizes and games systems and am willing to help get a game that works for you! I have some published works and have integrated educational lessons to help tutor using dungeons and dragons for math, art, science, and english courses. A lot of systems I have g.m.ed for seem to not be in the directory so if you want try something off-menu let me know!

I became a GM because
I saw the magic of giving people a story to love, an evil to vanquish, and a hero to be.
I got started GMing...
after my father took me to an old Mckays Book store and we left with advanced D&D books, a stack as tall as me.
When I'm not running games I'm...
writing the games I want to run, reading the games I want to run, doing silly voices.
How Gedwyn runs games
I try to center most of my games as character-centric experiences. I want the story to revolve around the characters you all make and pull at story beats you feel are appropriate. I love adding colorful voices and side characters to give you a reason to invest yourself into the world you put yourself in. Though a challenging tactical bite your nails, edge-of-your-seat gameplay is also something I find deeply engaging. I have run just about every kind of game there is out there and honestly I have loved every one of them.

My games focus on...
Character plots, I think character-driven narratives are the best kind of stories as they let us connect deeply to a representation of a person.
Rules are...
The boundaries we use to give games context. They are also quite breakable, and those moments matter to.
When it comes to voices
Ive got a million of them, though my memory makes it hard to keep them all catalogued properly youll be able to tell most folk apart by the sound of their voice.
Gedwyn's ideal table
I love players who eat their vegetables—the kind of players who like it when bad stuff happens because it's a good story. I perform best with players who give me trust and lean into the shenanigans I create for and with them.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
Cowboy bebop, Westerns, quick action, heavy drama, relationship dynamics and a whole lot of introspection.
I love it when a player
Makes the "wrong" choice, the character choice. If a player chooses something that their character does (and im not talking about defending shitty table behavior with it) and it makes the narrative more interesting.
My table is not the place for...
racism, homophobia, transphobia, any of that etc etc. While my games may feature folks suffering from the effects of these things or villians who use these as tools of control, this does not mean its ever an excuse to be a bigot at the table.
