About me
Grandfathers are awesome. At the age of 4, I learned from my maternal grandfather the sheer love if interactive play through games, starting with Cribbage. In 1973, at the age of 11, I learned to play Dungeons & Dragons from my buddy's Grampa Dave, who happened to be Dave Arneson, one of the two men principally responsible for the production and release of the game. I was a Dungeon Master from that weekend onward, and for the past 48 years, I have gm'd at least one game a week, and in the past year, have ramped that up to all seven nights a week as an average. The gameworld has 8,627 years of history, forty eight years in the making, and Easter Eggs from all that time make play not only interesting, but engaging like no other.
GM Style
I am a roleplay focused Games Master, focused more on the Rule of Cool, than on the Rules as Written. Combat is theatrical and detailed, not crunchy and mechanical. Players find themselves in more stressful situations getting a decent meal at an in, than they do killing a monster that is assailing the city. My recommendation is that you check out my youtube channel, that has litereally hundreds of episodes over the past year or so, to get a feel for how we play, and if you like what you see, join us in Nycos, the Shards of the Prism!

Jon is a smart and clever guy. For sure. His world of NYCOS is a wonder to behold. One of the greatest things about how Jon DMs is he makes the players actions MATTER. Since NYCOS has been being played in for so many years, you can see and feel the echoes and walk in the footprints of generations of players past. Walk where Valeir the dragon has walked, meet Klondike Stormfist, brawl with THE KORD! Or see The Wonderous Rod dance! It is amazing. To live and adventure in a world where you can change the world forever and know that generations of players and characters will know your name. Jon is a great GM. He always knows how to make every adventure new and exciting, everything is new and unique and usually..... full of Puns. So..... many..... Puns. Haha. Come play and you will never want to play with anyone else.
