About Gadget
Hi! I’m Gadget. I’m a podcaster, author and 5E DM. I run the game for the podcast Do Dragons Dream Of Scorched Sheep?, a homebrew campaign set in the world of Erethria, where I’m leading 4 players new to the game through their first full campaign. As a Dungeon Master, I’m a strong storyteller, always looking for the cool moments and strong with character voices. I specialise in humorous gameplay alongside moments of drama and I can even push into horror. I have experience running Dungeons & Dragons, Alien RPG and the Modphius 2D20 systems.

How Gadget runs games
I’m a big fan of roleplay in my sessions. Most of my DM time has been split 60/40 between roleplay and combat. I enjoy creating funny moments, especially during combat. Some of the most cathartic laughs can come from the right response to a Crit fail at the worst time. I’m good with character voices and I always do my best to embody the being of whoever I’m voicing. When it comes to combat, I prefer to set up larger group engagements that encourage my players to work together or be creative in a fight. A group of 10 low level goblins is a much more interesting fight than a single Minotaur, in my mind.
