How Gavin runs games
I enjoy the three pillars style of game, DnD is about more than just combat and reward alternative solutions to encounters. Some encounters are unavoidable fights but that's just how the game goes sometimes. I mostly DM Forgotten Realms because I know the setting well. I'm really enjoying the series "Faster Purpleworm Kill Kill" but promise not to TPK the group intentionally unless they sign up for this style of game. I let the players define the story and act more as a referee for the players to enjoy the world they are in.
