About me
My favorite part of D&D is customizing the hell out of it. :) As a DM, I take pride in happy players, and as a person, being extra is a central tenet of my personality. Join me in my permanent hyperfixation. :) I've put in thousands of hours to research and play, and I enjoy the preparation work for sessions. Let's create an EPIC story together!
GM Style
I customize plots to be very character-centric, and do my best to make sure everyone gets a fair amount of spotlight. As a result, this means my campaigns are roleplay-heavy, but I also really enjoy DMing combat, creating cool environments, and creating puzzles. Most of my house rules are to make players' lives easier and the game more fun to play. I have a "don't be afraid to ask for anything" policy and especially love helping new players start to love the game. Are my games for you? Focus on player chemistry and highly integrated PCs Rewards and appreciation for above and beyond engagement If you're a new player, I'd appreciate a willingness to do some light homework between sessions Every campaign is diverse and inclusive, socially. There will be no in-game transphobia, homophobia, or racism, and diverse characters are not treated any differently by NPCs or societal structures. If you would like to include an aspect of marginalization in your character's backstory, there are cultural angles we can discuss based on economic class, location, etc.

WARNING: Shoobie will make you feel things when you play at her table! Excitement, heroism, humor, nervous anticipation, and occasional heartbreak are to be expected. She does a great job making the table a space that's safe to roleplay and take risks while still paying close attention to rules, game mechanics, plot developments, etc. I would recommend her as a GM to anyone, from rookies to old-timers.

ShoobieNewt is an engaging storyteller who sets an inclusive tone, welcomes players of all experience levels, and helps all of the players at her virtual table establish clear, shared expectations.
