Professional Game MasterRyan Shawhe/him
Hello! My name is Ryan, I have been playing D&D since the era of AD&D back in the late 90s. Played 3.0, 3.5, 4e, pathfinder, and now am a avid fan of 5e. I also spend time homebrewing D&D content, writing to-be-published splatbooks, and even am designing my own full TTRPG system. All in all I have some 25,000 hours of gaming between various sites and systems with everything from the crunchiness of Warhammer 40k to the rules lite mechanics of Whitewolfs various systems. I ended up hosting games because I enjoy DMing more than anything, I love to create and bring my world to life, and see the players interact with it and maybe even get some smiles out of them enjoying my storytelling.
I like a mix of all three of the core pillars, roleplay, combat, and exploration. While some games (or even campaigns) may focus on one more than others, any good game involves all three. I love to do voices as well, though I am still rough around the edges on that. I tend to use a blend of published material and homebrew content to produce one-of-a-kind settings and adventures that keep the players on their toes but very entertained. All that being said, I love to home brew up monsters and traps to really push the players and give them some serious crunch when it comes to combat, especially if the players enjoy tactical play as well!
