About me

Hello! My name is Ryan, I have been playing D&D since the era of AD&D back in the late 90s. Played 3.0, 3.5, 4e, pathfinder, and now am a avid fan of 5e. All in all I have some 25,000 hours of gaming between various sites and systems having run everything from main stream D&D to obscure rules clunky systems like Mistborn: the Adventure Game. I ended up hosting games because I enjoy DMing more than anything, I love to create and bring my world to life, and see the players interact with it. The reason I charge is to continue to build a better and better system, as every dollar I earn is reinvested into my hobby.

GM Style

I like a mix of all three of the core pillars, roleplay, combat, and exploration though focus on roleplay. I believe any good campaign involves all three, but the roleplay is always one-of-a-kind. I tend to use a blend of published material and homebrew content to produce unique homebrew settings and adventures that keep the players on their toes but very entertained. I enjoy providing my players a tactical and crunchy form of combat to interact with while ensuring that out of combat the game gets to flow smoothly, allowing for both rule of cool and spotlight sharing for all parties.

I have had the pleasure to play with several game masters over my years as a player. Right from my first conversation with Ryan, I noticed that he listens to the player. He does very well, in my opinion, engaging with the people who play his campaigns. I've only participated in a few sessions with Ryan. He doesn't just run a module. Ryan is very creative. Knowledgeable of the old, new, and homebrew gaming systems. If you're looking for a Game Master, I would highly recommend Ryan.

Quite a ways threw my 2nd game with Ryan. Have really enjoyed both. He IA an adaptive DM, and allows for alot of creativity. Works hard to weave in back stories and give each player a time to shine. Really enjoying the time spent with this DM and group.

Ryan is a good game master. You can make the character you would like and he will fit it into the game. I wanted to be more tied into the game world, and we are still working on that even after a few months. Like any game, it takes a little while to integrate with the game master and other players, so I had a few issues coming into the game. I was able to bring up my issues with Ryan, and we worked it out. I am now enjoying the game much more since.

played (still playing) a few Sessions with Ryan and its been a vary well rounded experience. had good RP, combat, dungeon crawls. I was allowed to bring in a old character and incorporate their past into the current game which made me happy because its a character I wasn't able to fully play before. all in all I have been really enjoying my experience and would suggest a game with Ryan, worth the money.

Ryan is exceptionally talented in the realm of worldbuilding, combat creation, player agency, and flexibility. I have been working on a special project with him for around a year now, and it has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience in getting to know him as both a D&D enthusiast and as a person. His games are fun, eventful, and are filled with many memorable moments that also help you grow close to the party you are playing with. I highly recommend playing with Ryan with him as both player and DM, and am thankful for having gotten to know him.
