About me

Hi there! Thank you for considering me as your game master :) I primarily run games for 5th edition D&D. My games are generally full of thrilling combat, memorable NPCs, real challenges and a generous dash of homebrew content, whether we're playing in a custom setting or a published module. I run games where player enjoyment is front and center, where you and your fellow companions are the heroes (or villains?) of the story. On Startplaying, I run fun and unique games with a twist: In my "All Random All Dungeon" 5e sessions, you take control of a randomly-generated character and explore a section of a randomly-selected published module. Ideal for those of you eager to sample from everything D&D has to offer. While each session is a standalone one-shot, a unique progress system gives incentive to come back to the table. "Nothing But Class" is a short and sweet 5e dungeon run with a twist: you all play the same class. Simple, fun and an exercise in creativity. "City Guards: Waterdeep" puts you in the boots of an elite member of the Waterdeep city guard, where each session brings new challenges in crime fighting and peacekeeping. Inspired by tv-shows like S.W.A.T., "City Guards" is a thrilling 5E campaign that offer exciting roleplay, tactical combat and endless adventures. Finally, in "Legends of the Multiverse", we explore the top tiers of 5th edition play in epic, over-the-top boss battles with level 20 player characters. Ever wanted to cast Wish, wield Blackrazor or actually use one of the capstone abilities? This is the game for you. Over time, you'll get opportunities to make your character stronger with boons, feats and other rewards, or simply roll a new character each time and experience each class at its max potential. All my games are inclusive and safe spaces; while the player characters might encounter stressful or dangerous situations, my players should always feel comfortable during the game and I employ safety tools to ensure that this is the case. GM style

If you like games with real stakes, where your decisions matter in the long run and where your character is invested in the world and has ties to the plot, locations and NPCs, my games might be right for you. My one-shots are usually supported by a more elaborate framework, which lets you engage with an overarching narrative, earn rewards that carry over between games, and continue your story each time you return to the table. You’ll have a lot of freedom to shape the game and decide where the session goes, to pursue your own goals, and to fully realize your character if you want. Of course, if you want to be along for the ride and have a good time without agonizing over the game in between sessions, I fully approve of that too :) I ask that my players bring both video and voice for my games to keep everyone engaged and connected, so if that appeals to you, we might be a good fit. You should expect to meet a lot of fun and interesting people from all walks of life, and if you’re looking to make some new friends, I often find that my players become good friends over the course of a campaign or a series of one-shots. I think being able to see and engage with each other over video is an important factor for that. I use Roll20 and Discord as my platforms of choice, and you can always contact me outside of sessions to discuss the game, have a chat or if you have any questions or concerns. You should never be afraid to try something cool or just because the rules might not support it; in my games the rule of cool trumps the rule as written.
