About Emily
Hi everyone! I'm Emily, and I've been playing TTRPGs for nearly 11 years! All of my tables are LGBTQ+ friendly, and I am trans myself. Bigotry is not permitted at my tables. I've been playing TTRPGs since I was a teenager, starting with 4th edition D&D! I've dabbled as a player here and there, but I've almost exclusively ran games. At my peak I was running 3 games and playing in another! Currently I am playing exclusively Pathfinder 2e, and am running an Outlaws of Alkenstar game as well as a homebrew campaign, while playing in one other game. My GM style is fairly open, and balancing "rule of cool" with mechanical balance is a big part of the game for me. I'd say my biggest strength is my ability to improvise flourishes to the game world in response to player actions, I want my players to feel like they are rewarded for engaging with the setting. My expectation for players, beyond a basic level of respect for others at the table, is to work with me and the other players to create and foster the game narrative, especially in prewritten modules. I am usually mostly open to playing the weirder races for instance, but I expect you and your character to openly embrace the setting. If the adventure is about the group of players taking on the role of outlaws, your character probably shouldn't be militantly lawful good. Of course it can be interesting to see how a character like that would unfold in that setting! But it's a fine line between an interesting character examination and derailing the campaign / other player's characters. All of that is to say, these games are my passion. I hope to share that with you!

How Emily runs games
I want players to have a good time and get the most out of a module, and may nudge players towards certain things they may miss out on. I often play with people new to TTRPGs, and my DM style reflects that. Combat should be engaging and may even have some people hit 0 hitpoints! But rarely will I institute player death unless it has been discussed as a table (I have ran a couple of gritty campaigns, but they aren't my normal).
