About me
Hi, I'm Dylan! I'm an experienced GM, who just started taking my hobby to the next level. In my day jobs, I'm a voice teacher and a freelance artist, but ttrpgs are my true passion. I'm known for my compassion and positivity- both of which are super important, because my favourite games lean into the horror genre, and I always want my players to feel safe with me! I work to ensure that my games are suitable for both beginning and experienced players, and always incorporate your needs and wants into every campaign. I'm a huge fan of D&D and Call of Cthulhu, but I often dip my toes into other systems to bring in the elements of them that I love! I run largely published modules (for campaigns in D&D: Curse of Strahd, Descent Into Avernus, etc. and Call of Cthulhu: Masks of Nyarlathotep, The Golden Dawn, Horror on the Orient Express, etc.) but am completely willing to pick up a new module for your group- although I might take some extra time to prep! Even though I love a good horror narrative, I truly believe horror is at its most effective when surrounded by levity. Expect a lot of laughs at my table! Some of my favourite genres are: Cosmic horror Cozy, low-stakes fantasy Satire And, hey, if you're looking for an actual play stream and podcast, check my group out at callofthesmiteyboys on most social media platforms!!
GM Style
I prefer a roleplay-heavy game, with a strong focus on characters. One of my core philosophies is that, as a player, your choices need to matter! I never want you to feel railroaded. I prioritize safety and use several safety mechanisms, as well as centralizing player joy and collaborative story-telling. No two campaigns will go the same way, and that's what makes TTRPGs so fun! I think it's so important to get to know my players on some level before we play, as well as to understand their character. I am absolutely willing to spend the time to do that with you, and I have all the tools I could ever think of to make it easy! My voice training means I have a whole lot of fun doing character voices, and my art background means that I often bring my own maps (only if a group doesn't enjoy theatre of the mind, which is my personal preference!), and that my commissions are always open if you want some character art done!

I didn't realize how using different systems was something that could benefit a dnd game until I played with Dylan. She pulls in all these really cool elements from games like Call of Cthulhu or Ryuutama that make the game feel so unique. She also balances slice of life with horror really well, and I'm genuinely terrified by what comes out of her mind sometimes, but it's always done in such a safe way.
They are so freaking good at what they do. The worlds they build are SO well thought out and SO cool and SO fun. Their voices are incredible, and they are very supportive of their players :). They will do whatever they can to support your creativity - I cannot recommend Dylan enough. BEST GM EVER.
Dylan is such a great GM. Their soundscapes and storytelling always draws me right into the session and world, they are so dedicated to player safety, and as a D&D newbie I have never felt unwelcome at their table. In fact, I've been having the time of my life learning how to play with zero of the discomfort that I've felt trying to play D&D previously. Their sessions include just the perfect balance of serious adventure and fun roleplay (and their distinct character voices are always a highlight). They are always ready for each session, but also let us be creative. Everyone has a blast during our sessions and whenever we have a session is always a highlight of my week.
