About me
Hey there, you may know me as Drowsy, Drowsylock, Dylan, or the Weirding One, either way you can call me whatever! I've been playing TTRPGs for the past eight years, both as a seasoned player and GM (though I'm known for being a 'forever GM'). I first started telling stories when I was four or five when I first got my first Thomas the Train set, and ever since then it's been legos, toy soldiers, plays, improv, film, and eventually Dungeons and Dragons which lead me to GM all across these different platforms to tell a unique story. My area of play is catered to whoever my party is and what we decide as a group. As per what I look for in a player is ostensibly anyone who is willing to act out scenes and roleplay, I am not a combat-heavy GM but like to throw in combat every handful of sessions (typically every 2-4 sessions). I am a member of LGBTQ+ (Bi and proud of it!), and I am a person of mixed descent (Mexican-Filipino and a lot of other parts of Eurasia). One of my main goals as GM, of any game, is to make sure all players feel heard, respected, and open to group discussion throughout the "play experience" around any session(s) and downtime. Anywho! Thank you so much for reading and I hope to see you at the table! P.S. The photo of me looks a little out of whack, it was a selfie from when my place of business lost all power and I was stuck there for 2 more hours, we love to see it folks. I'm getting some professional photos done soon so I'll replace it soon.
GM Style
I am a huge advocate for "roleplay first, combat second," and rely predominantly on character driven session, rather than having any particular focus on combat. While I do have a background in acting I am not a huge believer in accents/character voices, I may change things up for NPCs but players are not "expected" to copy. As per combat I usually throw combat in every two to three roleplay sessions (for long term campaigns, although this is dependent on the specific campaign) and usually include combat for oneshots. Otherwise I don't have a specific type or genre or even game that I prefer over the other, I very much like reflecting my PCs interests into a campaign.
