About Amaline
Hello! I go by Amaline. I was introduced to tabletop RPGs in middle school, when I stumbled on Dungeons and Dragons 3.5e statblocks for Draconians in the back of a Dragonlance novel. Within months, I'd made a start on a collection of adventures and rulebooks that today occupies the better part of two bookshelves in my office, and had already begun digging into what would become an abiding passion and the vector through which I would meet almost all of my dearest friends. In the nearly two decades since, TTRPGs have remained a central part of my life - weekly games, one-shot adventures, from flagship systems to one-off or experimental ones, and from behind a game master's screen far more often than not. The experience of collaborative storytelling - and seeing how my players adapt when they run into trouble - is like nothing else out there, and I'm deeply excited by the prospect of taking what I've learned and sharing them with new audiences! I strive to run engaging and inclusive games, and to help players craft characters and narratives they'll think back on for a long time to come!

How Amaline runs games
I aim to craft challenging and story-driven games that put characters front and center - give me background, motivations, or quirks, and I'll make them matter! I work to present living worlds that players are a part of, and will always try to encourage investment or engagement in the setting even with small or self-contained adventures. When it comes to mechanical challenges like combat, dungeon navigation, or delicate social maneuvering, I'm of the mind that tension and tough decisions make for some of the most memorable stories! I routinely write homebrew content for various systems, so you can expect unique encounters - and bespoke rewards for clearing them.
