About me
I have over 20 years experience as a game master, with a decade of playing online through mostly Roll20 but with some experience with other formats. I pride myself on providing an expert storytelling experience focused on making your characters the stars of the show rather than the mechanics of the game or anything I had planned in the story. My primary experience is with Dungeons and Dragons (most editions, but 5e primarily), but I am also experienced with Cypher System games, Monster of the Week, Through the Breach, and am willing (with some time) to learn whatever other systems may interest you. My specialty tends to focus on taking published modules and elevating them from what is written on the page to create a unique, exciting, often humorous, and hopefully memorable gaming experience.
GM Style
My passion is to create a memorable story for my players every time we sit down together at the (virtual) table. I combine an understanding of character for NPCs, designing combat encounters to be memorable rather than a slog, integrating music and sound effects, doing some voices, and injecting humor to create an overall memorable gaming experience that will hopefully leave you clamoring for more. One of my big focus areas is player agency. If your characters make a choice, that choice should matter and have effects on the world, whether positive or negative. This is YOUR game. You create the story.

With a penchant for world building, and an eye towards cause and effect, Doctor DM has been the DM of many of my favorite sessions, both funny and epic. Would highly recommend.

Doctor DM is a great DM. Recently had one of the best sessions with the party. We were all laughing so hard at what was happening and Doctor DM kept rolling with it. One of the strongest traits is keeping each person in the party interested. He has a unique sense of when to know when to change things up so the interest level remains high. Makes good use of roll 20 from audio and visual perspective. Very high level of knowledge of rules and character options to help players. Takes feedback and incorporates into the story. Very highly recommended to all who want to enjoy there time on the tabletop.

I am playing in two different games with Doctor DM, and they are both a real blast. He is very collaborative with PC ideas and does a good job of working with many different concepts and integrating them into the game. He is a very good DM, keeping the pace of play moving but giving time for character moments when they are needed. He is open to ideas, so if you want to try it, he'll probably let you. He has great command of the game rules, and does a great job of overall adventure pacing and creating situations that cater to different player wants and desires.

I have had the good fortune to know and play games with Doctor DM for over two decades. Over those years, he has run some of my favorite campaigns of all time, in a variety of rulesets and campaign worlds - from Dungeons and Dragons games in the worlds of Faerun and Krynn to adventures in Malifaux's Through the Breach setting to Monster of the Week shenanigans in our very own "real world." Through all of these games, he has had an amazing ability to weave stories and balance the playstyles of everyone around the table, whether the game is homebrew, a published campaign, or a mix of the two. Worlds develop, grow, and change, NPCs feel real and distinct, and the players' choices matter and have long-term consequences.

DoctorDM is a dynamic storyteller who knows the rules and allows players the creativity to mold their characters within the game. Fair and knowledgeable, he keeps the game's pace moving forward through every curve ball that players can throw a DM's way. I can't select more than three descriptors which is a shame because he checks all the boxes. I have played with him for years and have never had a disappointing session with this amazing DM.
