How PetetheDM runs games
To me, playing a game like D&D is a way of telling a story. The difference between traditional storytelling and playing D&D, or similar games, is that we get to tell a story together! I enjoy trying to create an immersive and fun experience for my players and myself. As a GM, I try to balance the pace of roleplaying, combat, and problem solving to keep the story engaging and entertaining. Session Length: 2 - 3 hours Roleplaying: I like to do it. If the players feel emotions from the story, then I've done my job! Some players are more comfortable with RP than others. That's OK! there is room for every type of roleplayer at my table. Combat/Problem Solving: Did you notice that I didn't only say combat? I like encounters that can be solved in a variety of ways. That being said, I also enjoy a good fight! If you're a group of veteran players, expect challenging and dynamic combat. Since combat is very rules-oriented, it will be easier for new players. Players can expect puzzles too!
