Adventurers, welcome and allow me the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Chuck and I started playing Dungeons and Dragons in the mid 80’s as a teen. I was instantly drawn to the immersive experiences offered. Like is so often the tale, life pulled me in different directions. My only escape from reality was video games, which were a poor comparison. I have enjoyed MUDs like Beyond Zork and Gemstone IV. I lived for raids in Everquest camping mobs for weeks on end. A few good friends and I ran successful guilds in Everquest II and nearly every other fantasy based MMORPG. Neverwinter on the PS4 brought me back to D&D and the friendships I developed there helped bring me full circle back to tabletop gaming. Fast forward to 2020 and, like so many others, I was introduced to VTT’s like Roll20 and was instantly drawn back in! I started by pulling friends together and running games for them while slowly expanding my network of fellow players and DM’s. I work in NYC in a high stress job in a high stress field. D&D allows me the escape that I believe both you and I deserve. Whether I am helping to create your escape as a DM or living an adventure with you as party member, I look forward to our next great adventure. Come join me and a ridiculous number of talented game masters and players in DM Charlie Gaming!
I like to see what my players are looking for in a GM. I run a scripted session zero so that I can get to know my players and cater the adventure around their desires. I use descriptive combat but stay far away from inappropriate content (rape, sex, etc). An NPC is not going to hit on you and neither will they be amenable to your sexual fantasies (not that kind of a game folks). I do attempt to use voices in my games and encourage players to be respectful and just have fun! If playing on Roll20 I use Syrinscape and if playing on Foundry I use the VTT for sound effects and ambient noise/music. Come see my games I am running on www.dmcharliegaming.com
