How Stef (She/Her) runs games
I balance my time at the table between roleplay, exploration, and combat, balancing between them as the adventure and my players require. I avoid linear storytelling and give freedom to my players to make the world they are exploring their own, while still maintaining a strong narrative thread that is easy to follow. My players are the backbone of any adventure, and I work to understand what they want from each game so that they can feel like they are the heroes they want to be in a safe place. To that end, I rely strongly on lines and veils to keep difficult topics from overwhelming my players.
