As a former teacher in Japan, and as an Asian Canadian in California, I have gathered a repository of random facts that end up making their way into the games I DM. Educational and Fun. FUN. Education! 14+ Years as a forever DM that constantly tries to learn what it takes to make a great experience even better for their players. I follow the rule of cool, but up to a point. "Can I do this?" "Yes, but..." I take into consideration a players well being, their comfort, and their enjoyment. Always trying my best to be a most gracious host to the table. I do my utmost to navigate things that might be considered sensitive by checking in, interrupting my own RP to forewarn players that their is going to be a switch in demeanor and language, and they can feel free to ask me to stop. Having been a DM for so long, and having an influx of new players year after year, I always to try to find the best rules to support new players in a game to slowly introduce them to the game. When you share your characters with me, I understand that it can be at times quite personal. Something that has been in your mind, and that you've built up, placed in the hands of a stranger. I'll communicate with you to see what are the most important things to you, so I can work with you to adapt the world to your characters background, and hopefully only minor changes for your character to be adapted to the world. I'll build a world as immersive and story driven to make you feel like your character belongs.
