About me

Long time DM playing across multiple versions of D&D dating back to the early 90's. Most of my experience is running in person table top games but recently I'm getting into online play through Roll20 and Discord. I have two campaigns there that have gone pretty well. Previous campaigns: Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, Rod of 7 Parts, Tyranny of Dragons, Dragon of Icespire Peak and multiple home brew games.

GM Style

Most of the games I have run are a good mix of tactical combat and fun roleplay; though perhaps a bit light on exploration. While I enjoy good combat mechanics I will work to keep up pace of play and favor fun/drama over a ten minute dive into the rule books. Good roleplay is great to have and I'm looking forward to working with groups to build strong characters with significant depth. I enjoy adding some custom mechanics that increase player choice and introduce a risk vs reward trade off. I use a few house rules that are discussed and endorsed by the party before we start (a short pamphlet not a book). In the end we're all here to have fun. Some games may get a bit dark and deep, others are beer and pretzels.
