About me

I started gaming in 1989, in that brutal age of secrecy and clandestine gaming known as The Satanic Panic. I'm an old-school gamemaster with a passion for collaborative story telling and a legitimate sourcebook addiction. I love both new and veteran players. For the former I share the gospel of the table-top in the form of one-off games in simpler systems. The latter I invite to join me telling the long-form story of campaign play.

GM Style

I run a very inclusive game and will only play with groups who agree to a "session zero". At my table the experience of authoring a collaborative work of fiction is sacrosanct. That means while there are stakes (without stakes there is no game) I almost never run a dogmatic RAW (rules as written) game. In short: rules lawyers and crunchy players might not like my story-teller style. For campaign players I will sketch portraits of your characters. One-off players will get a commemorative map.
