I got started GMing...
when I was 10 years old because a friend of mine had an older brother who played with my friend. Naturally, my friend introduced me to the game and then I started running the games for other friends. Had no real clue how to play though. Took over a year to actually figure everything out.
How Devastator runs games
Try to adapt to the player base. Usually heavy on combat, light on RP but can adjust to whatever is best suited for the game/players. Do some character voices. Try to describe action/combat to jazz it up a bit so it doesn't just become a boring dice roll session. Try to be fair/balanced, open to player suggestions. Can work with any level/degree of experience from beginners to seasoned players.
