About me
I have been on both sides of the Storytelling(DM/GM) table for over 20 years now, and my passion for learning complex concepts and expressing human emotions is fulfilled by it in a way that nothing else satisfies. It is an itch, that I simply must scratch. Overtime I have found that I love introducing players to new systems as much as I love delving into their rich backstories. I do my best to engage all of my players equally through games, and develop the story in a way that becomes personal to everyone involved so everyone continues to have fun.
GM Style
Collaborative storytelling is what it is all about with me, murder hobos need not apply. I want to tell a story with the characters I have created, and instead of writing a novel about just them, I want collaborators who have their own characters and their own stories to tell. That might seem intimidating, but you don't have to have the story all figured out, all you have to have is a character you can't wait to play, and trust me we will find the story together.

Matthew has been a long time DM of mine, and has always been willing to help me find a way for the characters I am imagining in my head to be represented by the system. We have played world of darkness, dnd, and many many others, and he makes sure that I get seen and my characters get to be what I imagine them to be in the roleplay. 10/10, would recommend, he is a great DM!

I cannot recommend Matthew enough! He ran an amazing one shot adventure for me and my two best friends. All of us were new to role playing but eager to try something new, and Matthew got us up to speed and diving into our characters in no time. He was exceptional at explaining the system to us and encouraged our creativity with our character creation, which I loved. His ability to embody the NPCs in the world brought really fun role playing out of us as well, and he facilitated a wonderfully open and exciting atmosphere to play in. Our characters had real choices with real consequences, real conflicts with exciting battles, and satisfying progression through a fully realized world. What more could you want!? I am so happy me and my best friends got to play with him and I hope we get another chance soon.

Matthew has been my GM/Story Teller for years. He loves magic, and runs systems where it is VERY open to interpretation. He truly lives up to ensuring you can do whatever crazy magic you have always wanted to do in DND that you just haven't been able to. Whether it is Dungeon World, DND 5e, or Mage, he is always doing something where you are at the center of the action. I would 100% recommend Matthew, if you get a chance to play with him.

Matthew is the best paid storyteller I had the pleasure of troupe-ing with. I participated in his dresden one-shot, and it was a blast. His focus on individual play is so unique, and so rewarding, when I wasn't in the scene I felt like I was watching a comic book be written frame by frame, and when I was, I was so enamored to know that I could really do what my character would do in that scenerio.

Matthew was wonderful to work with as a new player who is more focused on narrative building than the mechanics of battle. DND was very intimidating to me, but I LOVE fantasy novels, and his flair for dramatic personas and rich imagery really drew me into the world. I felt like my character(a soul sorceress), had a real impact on the world, and I wasn't just playing Diablo 3(which I do love by the way).
